| windmail | Done a lot of testing and here are my results: Problem is specifically hotmail accounts I have added a spf record which may have relieved the problem for sending to windmail.co.uk from a hotmail account I setup a new email box jenny2.windmail.co.uk and this is now working for emails sent to this box However emails sent from jenny2.windmail.co.uk work to my gmail email accounts but still not to my hotmail account I ticketed Heart Internet and here is their final remarks: Hi Jennifer, Thanks for your reply. From looking into this further this does appear to be related to the on-going issues with sending to Microsoft, as they were rate-limiting a part of our servers. Unfortunately, at the moment there is not a permanent solution as Microsoft refuse to cooperate with us in order to resolve this. Our System Administrators are doing everything possible to resolve this from our side. There are also many other hosting companies that have the same issue with them. As a tested workaround, until the rate-limit is removed, we found that if the email account is added in an email client (for example Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) and the following string set for Outgoing mail server in it, the messages will be sent successfull y: mail114.extendcp.co.uk Please make sure to change only the outgoing (SMTP) hostname/server with the one provided above and with this action the issue should be resolved straight forward. I hope that this helps. We will be available, if you need any other assistance. I have now changed the outgoing mail server for jenny2@windmail.co.uk to mail114.extendcp.co.uk as quoted in the above ticket and my test emails have gone out to both my hotmail email and my gmail email.
