| headley | rsyslogd was HUPed Mar 11 06:25:02 mugla rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="5.8.11" x-pid="3341" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com"] HUP is a signal, which is Unix-speak for something that interrupts a program. Other signals are created by pressing Ctrl-C or when the program tries to divide by zero. This particular signal is generated when a modem connection drops -- it's called Hang-UP. So far, so confusing. What that doesn't explain, is that many Linux programs use the HUP signal as an instruction to re-read their configuration files. A program like rsyslogd is running all the time, and it probably only reads its configuration files when it starts. If the user makes some changes, rsyslogd wont notice and will continue doing things the old way. So the user can send a HUP signal to the rsyslogd process to tell it the configuration files have changed and it should read them again. The problem is the domain has to stay with Virgin Media and the tag name will stay as NTLTELEWESTBUS. Only the www.headley.co.uk and the headley.co.uk will need to be on Heart Internet. Once I have transferred the files and database to Heart Internet then I will need to get Virgin Media to point headley.co.uk and www.headley.co.uk 'a' record to 79.170.40.4. This is what I did with the linode box. I have copied over files and data to headleybrothers.co.uk. However I think this is no longer under my control. When this was with Webfusion Xcalibre I pointed headleybrothers.co.uk to headley.co.uk with a number of other domains around the headley name. This means I cannot see if I have installed the wordpress site correctly. Is it possible for you to remove the redirection so that headleybrothers.co.uk will work independently. Once this looks good then hopefully I will need to get the headley.co.uk 'a' record to point to 79.170.40.43 To a transfer .uk domain into your Heart account, the first step is to ensure that the IPS tag has been set to HEARTINTERNET or EXTEND.
