Once payment has been received the next step would be for your contractor to lay the supply pipe to the boundary of the back edge of the public highway. Below are the requirements for your pipe work. payment was made and the pipes have now been completed • Point of entry- This is where the pipe enters the building, it must be ducted/insulated as it goes through/under the wall. fig 1 • Your service pipe within your trench. This must be at a depth of 750 – 1350 mm. Fig 3 -8 and fig 20-21 • Your Tails- This is your end pipe which should have 1m excess to allow for connection. End should be capped off to prevent contamination. Fig 12 • Stop Tap. This is your internal stop tap. This must be fitted before we are able to undertake the connection works. Fig 1 There are a lot of photos as this process has taken some time. Fig 1-21 is the actual process and the next images were taken to describe to the contractor what to do. The last email I sent you showed the trenches going to the back of the house and then pipe work to go up into the loft across and down to where the current water entry was but the purchaser of the cottages requested the work to be done back to the previous specification - in front of the cottages - which is why I have included this proposal.
